BPL offers free global roaming

KOCHI: BPL Mobile has launched a unique technology solution to offer seamless international roaming for its subscribers in Kerala.

Starting today, the subscribers can roam free with their BPL Mobile phone across 540 international networks in 190 countries worldwide.

Through a unique technology solution, the company has launched a Dual IMSI card that leverages BPL Mobile, Mumbai's roaming alliances with over 540 networks worldwide to roam into, Mr K.A. Mohamed Saleem, Chief Operating Officer, said in a statement issued here.

Available to the subscribers at no extra cost, the Dual IMSI card ensures that post-paid subscribers make or receive calls and SMS whenever on move around the globe. The card offers a guaranteed uninterrupted international roaming coverage and is simple and easy to use.

While travelling abroad, the subscriber needs to pick up the Dual IMSI card with international roaming activated from the nearest BPL Mobile gallery, he said. The subscriber can access any of the networks across the world by using the Kerala circle IMSI or just switching to the Mumbai IMSI, he added.
