Kerala architects to be honoured

Our Bureau

KOCHI: The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Kerala Chapter in association with Designer+Builder, the mouthpiece of architects in the State, is organising "Sthapatheeyam" an event to honour as many as 60 noted architects in the State. The event will be held at Bolgatty Palace on November 6 and the main objective is to create public awareness about architecture as a profession, Mr V.N. Ramachandran, Chairman, Organising Committee said.

The one-day event will be packed with technical sessions during which eminent architects will share their experience on the theme "social conscience in architecture".

The idea is to recognise and honour architects who have completed 25 years in the field to develop and transform Kerala through their creative contributions, Mr L. Gopakumar, organising committee member said.
