Lepakshi expo inaugurated at Kochi

KOCHI: Mr P.A. Ahammed Kannu, Convenor, Kerala State Handicrafts Apex Co-operative Society (Surabhi) has inaugurated the 14-day Lepakshi exhibition-cum-sale of the Andhra Pradesh handicrafts and handlooms here.

Mr P. Venkataramudu, Manager, Lepakshi Handicrafts, said that the corporation organises exhibitions in various prominent places all over the country with a view to promote and market artistic handicrafts of Andhra Pradesh. It had achieved a sales turnover of Rs 800 lakh from exhibition programmes in 2003-04.
