Performance Hero Honda sales up 38 pc Our Bureau
NEW DELHI: Two-wheeler major Hero Honda has recorded a 38 per cent growth in sales in September 2004 to 2,17,507 units over 1,57,583 units sold in the same month last year. This is the seventh time in the last 12 months that Hero Honda has crossed the 2,00,000 units per month milestone. The cumulative sales of the company for the period April-September 2004 have also shown a growth of 35.20 per cent over the corresponding period last year. The cumulative sales during the period have increased to 12,23,919 motorcycles from 9,05,243 motorcycles during April-September 2003. According to a company release, sales of its `premium segment' products (Ambition 135, CBZ and Karizma) stabilised at around 15,000 per month - more than double the previous year.
