Life Insurance Marketing - Rural Marketing Tata AIG bullish on rural markets Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Oct.1 TATA AIG Life Insurance Company, the joint venture between the Tatas and the US-based insurance major American International Group Inc, is upbeat on opportunities in the rural markets of India based on the premise that over 70 per cent of people live in the rural segment. Talking to a group of newspersons on the sidelines of the international conference on `Regulatory Best Practices and Emerging Trends in Life Insurance' here on Thursday, the Tata AIG Managing Director, Mr Ian J. Watts, said the company was betting on the network of United Bank of India, HSBC and Tata group companies, apart from its own agency network towards spreading its presence in rural markets.
