Sagar Cements board okays Power merger

SAGAR Cements Ltd has informed the stock exchanges that its board at a meeting held on Wednesday has taken a decision in principle to merge its subsidiary company Sagar Power Ltd with it and to take necessary steps to implement the same.

Further, the company said its shareholders at the annual general meeting held on September 29 have approved through postal ballot the sale, lease or otherwise disposal of the grinding unit of the company located at Bayyavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
