KSEB to fill 4,000 vacancies

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The public utility, the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), proposes to recruit some 4,000 persons to fill positions falling under various categories.

The Electricity Minister, Mr Aryadan Mohammed, gave an assurance to this effect to a delegation of the Kerala Electricity Employees Confederation, which called on him recently, a spokesman of the confederation said. The delegation comprised Mr C. Ramachandran Nair, Mr Sajeev Janardhanan, Mr Kalliyoor Murali and Mr Salim Rauther.

The spokesman quoted them as saying that the recruitment would be preceded by a round of promotions that would straddle the hierarchy right from the post of a Lineman to that of an Assistant Engineer.
