MCX to launch cashew futures

THE Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) has decided to launch futures trading in cashew.

MCX would offer futures trading in Cashew Kernel - White Whole 320 with contract size of 50 cartons (22.6 kgs each), quoted ex-Quilon. Delivery size would be in multiples of 350 cartons.

The entire cashew industry including cashew producers, processors, raw cashew importers, cashew kernel exporters and bulk consumers would be able to participate on MCX platform either as a direct member or through any of the MCX trading members or sub-brokers, a release from MCX said.
