THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: `Holiday at Kerala', the tours and marketing division of Saj Group of Hotels and Resorts, has entered into `agreements of mutual benefit' with national and international tour agencies.

Announcing this here, a company spokesman said that the agreements were signed during the recently concluded Kerala Travel Mart held at Kochi. These are expected to generate investments of Rs 2 crore in the State.

Some of the parties who have signed the agreements are Tricon Holidays in South East Asia, Le Passage to India, Mercury Travels and Jayasree Travels and Tours. The company is talking to more multinational tour companies, the spokesman added.

The Saj Group has already commissioned two eco-tourism resorts at Vagamon and Thekkady in the State. Both have been certified under the ISO 140001 specification. A third project, Saj Earth Resort, is fast nearing completion at the Cochin International Airport.

The group proposes to invest Rs 35 crore in new projects at Alappuzha, Kumarakom, Munnar and Varkala over the next two years. It is also targeting the Malabar region for tourism development, the spokesman said.
