NPCIL identifies new sites for nuke plants

Madurai , Oct. 5

ABOUT six sites have been identified for the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) to establish power plants in the country.

In a press meet here, the NPCIL Chairman and Managing Director, Mr S.K. Jain, disclosed that a report has already been forwarded to the Union Government and an announcement is awaited. The nuclear reactors might be installed in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and in certain coastal areas.
