Sheet rubber closed static at Rs 53 a kgdespite low arrivals. All the grades except RSS 4 and block rubber lost marginally on buyer resistance.

The NMCE futures turned weak with October delivery quoting at Rs 54.25 (Rs 54.60) a kg on Monday.

The near month November delivery was quoted at Rs 54.10 (Rs 54.44), December at Rs 54.10 (Rs 54.48) and January delivery at Rs 55.10 (Rs 55.45) per kg for RSS 4.

The November futures for RSS 3 weakened to 139.4 yen from 141.3 yen a kg at TOCOM. The same grade closed better at Rs 57.83 against Rs 57.72 a kg at Bangkok.

The spot rubber rates per kg on Tuesday were: RSS 4 Rs 53 (Rs 53), RSS 5 Rs 51.25 (Rs 51.50), ungraded Rs 50 (Rs 50.50), ISNR 20 Rs 51 (Rs 51) and latex 60 per cent Rs 40 (Rs 40.50).
