V.R. Sharma to head carpet export body

THE Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) has a new Chairman in Mr V.R. Sharma, Managing Director, Obeetee Pvt Ltd.

Mr Sharma has assumed office as the Chairman of the CEPC after a landslide victory in the council's elections (914 votes were polled in his favour, whereas his opponent got 227 votes). A release issued by CEPC said that Mr Arun Wattal of Chinar Carpets Pvt Ltd, Srinagar and Mr Mahesh Choudhary of Saraswati Exports, Jaipur were elected respectively first and second Vice Chairman of the Council.
