New Delhi , Oct. 6

THE German airline, Lufthansa, will operate thrice a week on the Frankfurt-Hyderabad-Frankfurt sector from February 18, 2005.

In a statement, the airline has said that the launch of the new flight is subject to Government approval.

The airline proposes to use an Airbus A-340-300 aircraft on the Hyderabad-Frankfurt flight, which is to be operated every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Besides, the airline also announced that from January 1 next year, it would add two more flights on the Frankfurt-Bangalore-Frankfurt sector to operate a daily flight between the two cities.

However, the two additional flights will be operational only during the limited `open sky' offer of the Indian Government, which is to extend till March 31, 2005.

The statement saysthat with the addition of the flight to Hyderabad and the two additional flights to Bangalore, Lufthansa would operate 34 flights a week, including a daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore.
