Rubber Rubber depressed as buyers keep off Our Correspondent
Kottayam , Oct. 7 EXPECTATIONS of an improvement in arrivals kept buyers on the sidelines as domestic spot rubber prices remained depressedon Thursday. A favourable change in weather dominated the sentiments throughout the session, said traders. The market was also experiencing moderate selling from dealers anticipating further lows in the days ahead. Sheet rubber RSS 4 slipped to Rs 52.25 from Rs 52.50 a kg while ISNR 20 was firm at Rs 51.00 on steady demand. The rubber futures continued its bearish trend, quoting the October delivery at Rs 53.23 (53.93) a kg. The near month November delivery was quoted at Rs 53.12 (53.90), December delivery at Rs 53.35 (53.91) and January delivery at Rs 54.33 (54.89) per kg for RSS 4. RSS 3 continued its steady trend quoting Rs 57.83 a kg at Bangkok. At TOCOM, the November futures for RSS 3 closed at 141.4 yen against 139.6 Yen a kg on Wednesday. The market looked up there on rise in crude prices. The spot market rates per kg are as follows: RSS 4 52.25 (52.50); RSS 5 50.50 (51.00); ungraded 48.75(49.25); ISNR 20 51.00 (51.00); latex 60 per cent 39.00 (39.50).
