Aaj Tak campaign, Coke's TV commercial bag Dainik Bhaskar award

THE Dainik Bhaskar Indian Marketing Awards, instituted by exchange4media Group to recognise excellence in the discipline of marketing and its various dimensions, were given away on Wednesday.

The parameters on which entries were judged included performance in consumer activities such as sales promotion, below-the-line marketing campaigns and public relations. Due importance was also given to creativity and innovation. The awards were given out in 22 categories including Food and Beverages, Lifestyle Products, Durables, baby products, Automobiles & Accessories, Services and Media.

Specialist Awards for creative brand communication were also handed out for TV campaign, Print Campaign, Other Mass Media, Below the line, New Media Campaign and Campaign for the year. Individual Awards for world class talent came under the categories — Advertising person of the Year (Business), Advertising person of the Year (creative), Media person of the Year, Media services person of the Year, Marketing person of the Year and Marketing Hall of Fame.

Individual awards were also presented for Advertising agency of the year, Brand Re-Launch of the year, New brand launch of the year and Marketing company of the year. The jury for the awards included Mr Ashish Bagga, Executive Director of the India Today Group; Mr Prasoon Joshi, Regional Creative Director (South & South East Asia) of McCann Erickson; Mr Deepak Shourie, MD, Discovery channel among others.

Mr Anurag Batra, Managing Director, exchange4media Group, said, "We have received an overwhelming response from all participating corporate houses and professionals. It is indeed a great achievement for any awards to receive entries over 375 in their first year of institution".
