A bumper carrot crop in Kerala has led to sharp decline in the farm gate prices of the produce. However, it has yet to reflect on the retail market prices. Wholesalers from places such as Madurai and Ernakulam are buying carrot from farmers in Munnar at Rs 3 a kg.
