`Viewers now spend more time on Headlines Today'

New Delhi , Oct. 8

HEADLINES Today, the English news channel from the TV Today stable, seems to be catching up with competition.

The company, quoting data from research agency TAM India, which tracked viewership patterns in six metros, said that for the week ended September 25, the time spent on Headlines Today has gone up to 13 minutes in comparison to NDTV 24x7's 11 minutes, a growth of 62.50 per cent in comparison to the previous week.

The channel share is currently 28.3 per cent compared to NDTV 24x7 share of 30.4 per cent.

During prime time, both Headlines Today and NDTV 24x7 are on a par with a channel share of 35 per cent.

The company claims that the new brand campaign coupled with the various `on air' initiatives has indeed provided a fillip to the viewership of the channel.
