Software Servion sees consulting revenues growing Our Bureau
Kochi , Oct. 8 SERVION Global Solutions, a Chennai-based software product and solutions company, on Friday said that it expects revenues from its nascent consulting business to grow rapidly in the coming years as demand for such services are on the rise. "Revenue streams from this business are getting started. Today it is below five per cent (of the company's total turnover), but we expect it to grow," said Mr G. Shankaran Nair, Senior Vice-President and Head of Marketing and Business Development. Servion currently offers two types of consulting, Mr Nair said. In the first category, the company helps clients set up call centres and other projects in India on a turnkey basis, providing consulting on aspects such as identifying location, setting up facilities, implementing systems and hiring people. In the second, the company helps companies streamline interaction with customers by improving the interactive customer response systems. Servion is also hopeful of its software products contributing 25-30 per cent of its revenues in the next two years, up from 15 per cent now. Software applications now account for 85 per cent of the company's $10-million turnover last fiscal. Revenues are expected to grow to $14 million in the current year. The company is taking the number of its employees to 350 by December this year from 270. Meanwhile, Servion is hosting a `round table on technology for banks' on Saturday, which will showcase the latest technology developments to a number of banks in the State. Servion would also showcase its speech recognition software at the round table.
