This is the time for Heavy Metal music!

Dejected by the Indian team's performance in the first test, Jogin lumbers to his PC for the weekly chat on markets with Khan, Sridevi and Dakshinamoorthy. No silly point, this!

Jog: Crude is getting ruder, and bulls are tired watching it

beyond $50!

Sri: Metal is sounding good. I see long-term boom in metal

prices.

Dax: Watch then Sterlite, Balco, Nalco, Indo-Gulf, Birla

Copper. Ting tong!

Kay: Copper and aluminium prices will be hiked from Oct

second fortnight.

Jog: Aluminium is at 9-year high on LME and Copper near

16-year peak.

Dax: Hindustan Copper CMD talks of `bacterial leaching'.

Eeeek... !

Sri: That's for extraction of

copper. Cheap but scientifically

advanced method that the US

exploits.

Kay: Corporate results

can make the mood bullish.

Oct 12, Infosys, next is TCS.

Should be good...

Jog: I expect earnings

guidance revision and a hefty

interim dividend from Infy, to

trigger near-term upside. What

about MphasiS BFL, EID Parry and Ranbaxy?

Sri: Get out of Megasoft, I suggest, because Reliance

Energy Investment P Ltd got out of it! :-|

Dax, you can brush your teeth more! Price war is on

with Anchor, Colgate and HLL squeezing in.

Dax: I'm waiting for insulin from Biocon in three weeks,

as Kiran Shaw promised. Shot in the arm!

Jog: Let me not tell you about sugar, then. Bal Pharma is

prominent in small-cap team. Vimta Labs's stock has

risen about 25 times since early 2003. Run-up is very

sharp, be cautious!

Kay: BPL gets boost after debt restructuring. CTV unit

transfer to JV with Sanyo is positive news.

Jog: Low-priced Willard India (textile & jute) is getting

debt-restructuring package in a month.

Dax: Varun Shipping is doing better than industry!

Right's issue soon, still a safe bet, I guess.

Kay: Bullish trend in prices of metals, coal and iron ore as

well as crude - means higher freight rates - leading to

upward trend in GE Shipping, SCI, Mercator Lines and

Essar Shipping. Samjhe?

Jog: Yes sir, Essar Steel can show good results. Exide's

move to get Bangkok batteries will energise.

Dax: SRF for long-term buy, after the recent imposition

of anti-dumping duty on nylon-tyre cord.

Sri: IBP is a liability for IOC, they say. IBP's sickness was

due to nexus, so vigilance is needed!

Kay: Second chances I can't exepct and I won't expect.

When it's all said and done I will live.

Jog: Hey, that's metal! I'm just trying to be real in spite of

everything that I must face...

Sri: Arey Dax, let's go before these chaps break things

with their music!
