10-digit Reliance numbers in Kerala

Our Bureau

KOCHI: Mobile phone operator Reliance Infocomm on Monday said its telephone numbers in Kerala are changing to 10-digits beginning with `93' with effect from Tuesday.

"This has been done in keeping with the cellular mobile numbering plan in the country under the new Unified License Regime and comes close on the heels of the successful implementation of migration to 93 in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana," the company said in a statement here.

Reliance IndiaMobile subscribers in the State can dial the new ten-digit number, and need not prefix the STD codes anymore. "In order to make this transition convenient for our subscribers we have ensured that they will continue to receive messages and calls to their old numbers till November 30," the statement said.
