CMC Q2 net up 50 pc at Rs 12.68 cr

DESPITE a three per cent fall in revenue, CMC Ltd has reported a 50 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 12.68 crore for the quarter ended September 30 as against Rs 8.41 crore in the corresponding period last year. The total revenue stood at Rs 177 crore as against Rs 183 crore in the comparable period in 2003-04.

The company saw its expenditure come down to Rs 157 crore during the period under review (Rs 168.2 crore).
