McDonald's opens Bangalore outlet

MCDONALD'S, the world's leading food service retailer, has entered Bangalore with the launch of its first restaurant at the Forum mall on Hosur Road. This marks its foray into the southern market.

The Bangalore outlet is launched under licensee agreement with Golden Kitchens Pvt Ltd, the first such arrangement for the food retailer in India. McDonald's through two joint ventures in Delhi and Mumbai operate a chain of 58 restaurants.

McDonald's serves over 2.5 lakh customers daily across all its outlets. . "We are stepping up our expansion a bit and are planning to open 20 new outlets across India next year," Mr Amit Jatia, Joint Venture Partner & Managing Director, McDonald's (Western India), said.
