Intel opens software college

CHIPMAKER major Intel on Tuesday announced the opening if its software college, a training school catering to the software developer community by expanding their skills on Intel software and technologies.

Announcing this at the Intel Developer Forum here on Tuesday, Mr Prasad Ramapalli, VP-Finance and Enterprise Services Director and Chief Architect Enterprise Solutions and Technology Services, said the software college would offer highly flexible training to enable users to focus on mobility software and high performance computing.

The college will deliver a broad range of courses ranging from processors, software technologies, optimisations and operating environments.

The centre will also offer developers hands-on experience in its hardware lab equipped with Itanium 2-based systems, laptops with hyper threading and Centrino mobile technologies and PDAs based on Intel's PCA architecture.
