Entrepreneurship development programmes in AP

THE Federation of Andhra Pradesh Small Industries Association Small Scale Industries Centre (FAPSIA-SSI) is organising an entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) for Andhra Bank in East and West Godavari districts for setting up small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Phase one of the 10-day programme will be conducted for three days in Kakinada from Wednesday to Friday and in Tadepalligudem from Thursday to Saturday.Senior officials of Andhra Bank and the District Industries Centre (DIC), willbe present during the programme to evaluate the participants.

Phases two and three of the programme will be held for the selected candidates of the first phase in intervals of one month between each programme, FAPSIA-AP said in a press release here on Tuesday.

The aimof the programme is to generate investment in potential sectors for setting up enterprises in each district. Practical information to help entrepreneurs improve efficiency, productivity and profitability of their existing enterprises, is also included..

The programme covers the entire venture creation process from idea generation to building viable businesses in the district. It will expose participants to technology, investment environment and entrepreneurial network.

Well-known management consultants will address the sessions. They willalso provide mentoring services for venture development. On completion of the programme, they will help in preparation of proposals to seek financial assistance from banks.
