Water levels rise in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water levels in the three major reservoirs continued to rise thanks to extended monsoon rain activity in catchment areas in the State.

According to figures provided by the Central Water Commission, the level increased to 2376.64 ft from 2375.58 ft in Idukki, 524.15 ft from 523.65 ft in Idamalayar and 370.01 from 369.88 ft in Kallada.

Year-on-year readings also revealed a rise in the respective levels at all the three reservoirs. The level looked by 33.84 ft at Idukki, 28.48 ft at Idamalayar and 15.45 ft at Kallada. - Our Bureau
