Philately festival in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Posts, Kerala Circle, organised a Philately Festival here to commemorate 150 years of postal services in the country.

The Chief Post Master General, Ms K.N.K. Kartyayani, inaugurated the festival in which 350 students from nine schools in the capital city participated. She released the Philately Activity book for children. Letter writing, painting and story telling competitions were held on the occasion.

A stamp exhibition featuring various types of stamps issued by the Department of Posts was also held.
