Retailing Stori plans Rs 2.5-cr ad spend; to open 40 stores by 2006 Our Bureau
Chennai , Oct. 13 STORI, the apparel brand from the Bangalore-based Chaya Garments, is spending Rs 2.5 crore on advertising and has plans to open 40 exclusive stores by 2006. According to Mr Omprakash Bhaiya, Chairman and Managing Director, Chaya Garments Pvt Ltd, the company plans to open 15 stores by March 31 next year and its own stores in the Gulf region. Besides its own stores, Stori is also available in multi-brand outlets. At present, they have outlets in eight cities. The company manufacturers and markets semi-casual, casual and corporate casual wear for men. Mr Bhaiya said that the company would soon be coming out with loungewear, knits and accessories like leather belts. The prices of trousers and shirts range from Rs 895- Rs 2,000. Mr Bhaiya said that the designs and colour of the shirts and trousers are changed four to five times a year. The stores are networked with the warehouses and the factories, which enable the company to keep track of the products.
