AIR France is keen to start operating to cities in South India, the airlines Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, Mr Jean-Louis Pinson, said on Wednesday.

"The airline is keen to open flights to new destinations in South India and are looking at both Chennai and Bangalore. We will also be offering more seats on the Paris-Delhi-Paris sector from this winter as the airline will operate a 400-seater Boeing 747 aircraft in place of the 250-seater Airbus aircraft that is operated at present. However, from the summer schedule we will again operate an Airbus on the Delhi route," Mr Pinson said.

The airline operates a daily flight on the Paris-Delhi-Paris sector with an Airbus aircraft at present. In addition, the airline is to operate a daily flight on the Mumbai-Paris sector. The airline currently operates only to Delhi and Mumbai.
