Wet grinder units' plea for rail booking facility

THE wet grinder manufacturers here have sought the intervention of the Minister of State for Railways, Mr R.Velu, to restore the parcel booking facility at the Peelamedu and North Coimbatore railway stations.

In a memorandum to the Minister, Mr N. Rajan, President, Coimbatore Wet Grinders and Accessories Manufacturers Association ) and its Secretary, Mr R. Soundarakumar, said the railways were booking parcels for the past 24 years at the Peelamedu and Coimbatore North railway stations, which benefited the wet grinder manufacturers. But the withdrawal of the booking facility at the two stations has posed problems for wet grinder producers in the city. They sought restoration of the parcel booking facility.
