New MAIT President

NEW DELHI: The Manufacturers Association of Information Technology (MAIT) on Thursday announced the appointment of Mr Rajendra Kumar as its new President.

Mr Kumar, currently Vice-President of HCL Infosystems, brings with him an experience of over 25 years in the IT industry , a MAIT release said. He was earlier the Chairman for MAIT Northern region.

"With its growing domestic market, India is today high on the agenda of international manufacturing firms. High IT penetration and a robust electronics manufacturing base will be key to India's global competitiveness and we need to work towards creating a conducive eco-system to enable IT and electronics manufacturing in the country," Mr Kumar said.
