Minister visits BEL unit

BANGALORE: The Union Minister of State for Defence & Parliamentary Affairs, Mr B.K. Handique, on Thursday visited BEL's Bangalore complex.

The CMD, Mr Y. Gopala Rao, made a presentation on BEL's performance and recent achievements. BEL is among the top 10 performing PSUs in the country. During 2003-04, BEL achieved a turnover of Rs 2,798.6 crore and post-tax profit of Rs 316.1 crore, paying its highest ever dividend of 100 per cent for the fiscal 2003-04.
