Awards & Honours Awards for interior designers announced Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Oct. 15 THE Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) has announced awards for 13 designers in six different categories for the year 2003. Announcing the awards at a press conference here on Friday, Mr Srikanth Nivsarkar, IIID's President, said the institute had plans to increase its presence to 30 cities with a total membership in the range of 15,000-20,000 in the next six years. Ms Shilpa Gore-Shah (Mumbai) has won the award in the Residential Spaces segment. Mr Pinkish Shah of Mumbai won the award in the Office Space segment. The other winners include Mr Sanjay Puri (Mumbai) - Public Spaces; Mr Quaid Doongerwala/Ms Shilpa Ranade (Mumbai) - Interiors in Heritage Buildings; and Mr Sandeep Khosla/Mr Amaresh Anand (Bangalore) - Hospitality Interiors. Mr Karan Grover, Chairman of the Awards Committee, said there were 227 entries from 23 cities this year as against 298 from 26 cities last years.
