Private sector

After the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh's statement that reservations in private sector are inevitable, a series of articles and views are being expressed in public and private forums on this issue.

With the fall in employment opportunities in the public sector, the SC/ST lobby in the Government has now targeted the private sector.

Can the private sector escape from the lobby? How will it counter the social equitability theory propagated by the lobby? The Government seems to have realised that it will never be able to guarantee development for the underdeveloped. That is why it has proposed such a move.
