THE Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC's) Tatipaka complex, in the heart of Konaseema near Nagaram in East Godavari district, consisting of two units — GCS & mini refinery, has achieved OHSAS - 18001 certification for Occupational Health System, from DNV, Denmark.

Tatipaka mini refinery, the first of its kind in the country, is a skid- mounted relocatable unit. The plant has recently completed three years of operations producing the highest quality of products matching international standards, an ONGC press release from Rajahmundry said.

Naptha is being taken by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) for supplies to Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (NFCL) for fertilizer production. LSHS is picked up by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) for fuel purpose. HSD partly consumed by ONGC's own drilling rigs in Rajahmundry and Karaikal and partly supplied to HPCL, IOC & BPCL. SKO is supplied to HPCL and IOC for PDS supply.
