KSEB Staff union hails Minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Electricity Employees Confederation, affiliated to the INTUC, has welcomed the Power Minister, Mr Aryadan Mohammed's directive to the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) to wrap up recruitment of 3,000 new hands and promotion of over 5,000 employees to various posts.

The Union General Secretary, Mr M.S. Rawther, remarked that the decision should be viewed in the context of the expiry of the rank list maintained by the State Public Service Commission (PSC) in the coming months.

Two thousand candidates are expected to get appointment orders as linemen through the PSC and 1,000 others as meter readers.
