Rubber prices turn weak a tad

SPOT rubber rates were quoted slightly weak on Tuesday. The covering groups preferred to keep a low profile and the strong buyer resistance kept the prices under pressure throughout the session.

Sheet rubber RSS 4 weakened to Rs 54.25 from Rs 54.50 on Monday.

Futures continued to firm up with November quoting at Rs 55.51 (55.03) a kg. December was quoted at Rs 55.84 (55.29), January at Rs 56.85 (56.36) and February at Rs 57.84 (57.27) per kg for RSS 4. The spot market rates per kg on Tuesday are as follows: RSS 4 54.25 (54.50); RSS 5 53.25 (53.50); ungraded 50.25 (50.50); ISNR 20 52.50 (52.50); & latex 60% 41 (41).
