Automobile Components Amara Raja Q2 sales up 38 pc Our Bureau
Chennai , Oct. 26 AMARA Raja Batteries Ltd, has registered a 38 per cent growth in sales for the quarter ended September, compared to the same quarter last year. Turnover stood at Rs 51.68 crore against Rs 37.28 crore for the corresponding quarter of last year. Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at Rs 4.55 crore as against Rs 2.75 crore for the quarter ended 30th September 2003 (adjusted for Deferred Revenue Expenses amortisation in the previous year). While the turnover for the first six months grew by 21 per cent over the same period last year, to Rs 93.92 crore, profit before tax for the half year ended 30th September 2004 stood at Rs 8.36 crore a 22 per cent growth over the corresponding period last year.
