Rakesh Mohan is Secretary, DEA

THE Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday appointed Dr Rakesh Mohan, Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) in the Ministry of Finance.

Dr Mohan, who did his PhD from Princeton in the US and had worked at the World Bank, has been appointed in place of Mr D.C. Gupta, Finance Secretary, who will be retiring on October 31.
