Kinfra in pact with French chamber

KERALA Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) and the Le Havre Chamber of Commerce have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote French investments in Kerala.
Dr G.C. Gopala Pillai, Managing Director, Kinfra, and Mr Eugene Magouarou, Vice-President, Le Havre Chamber of Commerce, signed the MoU.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Magouarou, said that members of the Le Havre Chamber of Commerce are keen to establish business and cultural links with Kerala. Areas such as food processing, biotechnology and garment manufacture are of special interest to entrepreneurs in Le Havre, he added. Development of ports is another area that interests businessmen in Le Havre, he pointed out.
The University of Le Havre is also interested in building links with educational institutions in Kerala, said Mr Magouarou.
The university is very keen on establishing a student exchange programme with universities in Kerala, he added. Similarly, the Le Havre Chamber of Commerce is also interested in promoting cultural ties between Le Havre and Kerala, he said.
