Alfa Laval Q3 net rises to Rs 20 cr

ALFA Laval (India) Ltd has registered a 30 per cent growth in sales turnover for the third quarter ended September 30, 2004.

The net profit for the third quarter has increased to Rs 20 crore as compared to Rs 17.01 crore in the same period last year.

According to an official communication, with a growth of about 56 per cent in the order intake during the 9 months period ended September 30, the cumulative results for this period reflect a 32 per cent growth in the total income at Rs 368.29 crore.

The pre-tax profit stood at Rs 87.96 crore. The net profit for the nine months period stood at Rs 60.12 crore (Rs 48.33 crore).

The Board of Directors have announced an interim dividend of 150 per cent on the equity shares (Rs 15 per share) aggregating Rs 30.8 crore including dividend tax. The record date has been fixed as November 19.
