Chennai , Oct. 29

JR Herbal Care launched a range of herbal skincare products, Jovees, in Chennai this week with the aim of capturing a segment of the premium market.

The Chennai launch took place soon after its introduction in Uttar Pradesh and other metros.

JR Herbal's National Sales Manager, Mr Rakesh Misri, said that the company aimed to penetrate the skincare market with an emphasis on quality and affordability (product prices are between Rs 70 and Rs 165). He added that Jovee's competitors were upper end brands such as Biotique.

JR Herbals has engaged specialists in ayurveda to help with the research and development. Mr Misri said the skincare products were manufactured in-house. To ensure quality, product ingredients are tested in independent laboratories, he added.

Jovee product range would be soon extended to cover the hair care segment, said Mr Misri.
