Brijesh Kumar is new IT Secretary

THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the posting of Mr Brijesh Kumar, an IAS officer, as Secretary, Department of Information Technology.

Mr Kumar is to succeed Mr K.K. Jaswal, who is retiring on October 31. The Committee has also approved the posting of Mr Anupam Dasgupta, an IAS officer and currently Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), as Secretary, Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries. Mr Dasgupta has been posted in the place of Mr B.S. Minhas, who is retiring on October 31.

An official release also said that Mr L.V. Saptharishi, an IAS officer and currently in the cadre, has been posted as Director-General, Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology in the pay of Secretary to Government.
