Mr B.A. Srinivas, Director, Spencer's Super Store, said that three of these demo zones have been named after theatres from old Madras — Safire, Blue Diamond and Emerald — and the fourth called Aqua. These zones will showcase a wide range of home theatre and home theatre components from all leading brands. The total investment to set up the home theatre gallery was about Rs 1.25 crore.

Safire is the high-end zone, which will house a premium range of THX certified 7.1 channel systems. This will include speakers, amplifiers, plasma televisions, projectors, DVD players from brand such as Jamo, Marantz, Onkyo and Yamaha.

Emerald will display the 6.1 channel system, which includes speakers, projectors, and plasma televisions from brands such as Onkyo, Marantz, Yamaha and Sony.

The Aqua zone will exhibit the 5.1 channel systems with speakers, amplifiers, DVD players, rear projection and plasma televisions. Blue Diamond will showcase the home theatre in a box.

The price range for the products is from Rs 20,000 to Rs 10 lakh.
