VisionShape to double customer support team

Our Bureau

Bangalore , Nov. 1

VISIONSHAPE, a US-based scanning software company that has software development out of the US and with support operations in the US and Europe, is planning to double its customer support team to 60 and all new additions to happen out of India, according to Mr Andrew Butt, the company representative.

Part of the Belgian representation at the IT.Com 2004, Mr Butt said that the company expected to take advantage of the time zone differences between the US, Europe and India to be able to offer round-the-clock support to its customers.

"It is already a very great advantage to be able to offer 24-hour support. The first and second lines of support will come from India while the third line of support will still be done out the US," he said.

The company is also looking to marketing its scanning products to large corporations and banks in India.

"This could be a $90-million per year market and we see tremendous opportunities for growth in this region," said Mr Butt, whose company has distributors in Mumbai and is looking to enter similar partnerships in Bangalore. The company is also in talks with banking kiosk producer, Compusharp, for its scanning products.
