Zensar to partner Symbiosis institute for MBA-IT course

Pune , Nov. 5

THE Pune-based Zensar Technologies and Symbiosis International Educational Centre (Deemed University) would together offer a new `techno MBA' course, which would provide students with basic knowledge of IT along with domain expertise.

On successful completion of the course, the entire batch of students would be picked up by Zensar and given placements in either the development centre in Pune or any of the offices placed in the US, the UK, Japan, Australia and China, Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Zensar Technologies, told presspersons here today.

The admission for the course, however, would be on the basis of a national entrance examination, ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admission), and would cater to all streams of education.

For the next academic year, a batch of 90 students would start on their MBA-IT course, with the re-designed curriculum by Zensar, and the company would absorb these students, he said. Zensar, which already has a staff strength of about 2,000, is estimating to increase this by another 1,000. He pointed out that it usually took about six months of training `to make them unlearn whatever they have learnt and requires a spend of close to Rs 5 lakh per person on training'.
