Kores plans foray into consumer electronics market

AFTER establishing its presence in the office supplies sector, Kores is now looking for making a foray into the consumer electronics market.

The company has unveiled a line-up of Plasma TVs, LCD TVs, DVD players and home theatre systems, which are being introduced in a phased manner in the regional and national markets in the course of the next few weeks.

The company is looking at niche markets in the high-end sectors. Its new products include LCD TVs ranging from 20-inch to 30-inch, Plasma TVs of 42-inch, DVD players, Onkyo and Jamu speaker systems, with prices ranging from Rs 78,000 to Rs 2.25 lakh.

Mr Sunil Unni, Chief Executive Officer of Kores India's Consumer Electronics Division, told presspersons that the company's approach to home theatre marketing was that the system should be ideal for the home.
