Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Mr Nalin Kohli, President and CEO of Terabyte Informatics, has been elected as the Chairman of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) for the period 2004-06.

He was elected at the annual general body meeting of the ESC held recently in New Delhi, a release said here. Mr Kohli has long years of experience in computer-related areas and has been associated with the ESC for quite sometime as a Working Committee Member, Chairman of the Committee on IT Enabled Services and Vice-Chairman of the ESC.

"Mr Kohli is assuming the office of the Chairman of the ESC at a critical juncture when the exporting fraternity is faced with the challenge of meeting the IT export target of $50 billion by 2008. This requires a greater degree of Government-business partnership," the release added.
