Hyderabad , Nov. 7

THE State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has in-principle sanctioned loans to the tune of Rs 150 crore to over 5,000 persons out of the 15,000 people who visited its two-day "Festival Loan Mahotsav" that concluded on Saturday.

The amount of loan sanctioned ranged from Rs 50,000 to Rs 50 lakhs. An interest concession of 0.5 per cent to 1 per cent was extended to those who availed loans during the event, according to a SBH press release here on Sunday.

The bank had stated that there had been more demand for home, personal, small business finance and two-wheeler loans during the two-day event. There had been a long queue for small business finance and the bank was forced to open an extra counter.

SBH had also launched two new schemes on the occasion — SBH C3 (credit to credit card holders) and SBH Journalist Plus. The participants in the event were builders, realtors, jewellery merchants, automotive dealers and educational institutions.
