ITC travel arm launches portals

Our Bureau

Bangalore , Nov. 7

INTERNATIONAL Travel House, a subsidiary of ITC Ltd, plans to launch B2B and B2C portals to provide comprehensive information on travel, hotels and related information to its customers.

Mr Anil Bhandari, Managing Director, said that the portals would be launched by the end of December and would add a new dimension to the company's initiatives to modernise its communication network.

As part of this effort, International Travel House has installed `Satellite Customer Ticket Implants' at Infosys Technologies in Bangalore.

The system would also be installed at the software company's Mangalore office soon. HCL's office in Chennai would be next centre to house the facility.

Mr Bhandari said that satellite ticket implants would help corporates receive air tickets on demand after booking the tickets with the travel agency.

Using the global distribution system software of Amadeus, IT Travel House would be able to offer a convenient and cost-effective service.
