MANGALORE: The New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) observed "Vigilance Awareness Week" from November 1 to November 6.

An NMPT press release said here on Monday that Mr R. Srinivasan, former faculty of National Institute of Port Management, who delivered a lecture on "Customer education: Vigilance matters", spoke on the importance of preventive vigilance and honesty in public service.

Mr G. J. Rao, Chairman in charge of NMPT, gave details about the measures taken by the port management to have transparency in administration, the release added.
